Maintenance-free floodlight

The Products & Technology division at Semco Maritime has introduced a new lamp to the danish offshore marked that saves time and money in regards to the normally costly maintenance work done offshore.
Semco Maritimes component sales department recently received an order from a Danish wind turbine manufacturer for delivery of IQL floodlight to be installed on a offshore wind farm project in UK.
The lamp is a maintenance-free IQL type which was the preferred solution in in to bring down maintenance cost on every single wind turbine.
- There are some technical advantages with IQL lamps. The technology has been well documented and tested through 15 years of use and there are no electronic parts that may brake down in the harsh offshore environment. Maintenance is costly on offshore installations so this solution saves both time and money, say’s Jesper Brieuc Bærentsen from components sales.
Jesper Brieuc Bærentsen emphasizes the fact that this particular contract was realized through good cooperation with client´s technical department.
