Maersk Inspirer – Preparation for Redeployment

The project scope included preparation of the Maersk Inspirer rig for redeployment to the Yme field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

Competences and systems
  • Corrosion repair and application of antifouling coating on all three rig legs (approx. 1.500 m2 per leg)
  • Inspection and repair of firewater line and flare tower
  • Installation of new anodes, bolts and nuts (approx. 1,000 pcs. from bay 11 – 19; bay 19 being 95 metres above jacking structure) on guides for firewater riser and dump line
Highlights
  • Semco Maritime erected a total of 390 tons of scaffolding around all three rig legs prior to commencing work
  • The project was delivered on time
  • Positive feedback from end customer
