Offshore substation for Kaskasi

Written by Semco Maritime | 4/5/20 8:34 AM

As a subcontractor to our long-term partner Bladt Industries, we managed to secure a very important contract for the offshore substation for Innogy’s German Kaskasi Offshore Wind Farm.

It makes us proud to be able to add another great project to our common strong track record and pipeline of providing competitive turnkey substations to the fast growing international offshore wind market.

"For this project, we will draw on the experience gained, the resources and capabilities that we have built up over the years to set further focus on our offerings to bring offshore energy to shore,” says Carsten Nielsen, Senior Vice President, Renewables, Semco Maritime.

Semco Maritime is looking forward to working with Bladt Industries and ISC to deliver this project and strengthen our relationship with Innogy.

The Offshore Substation is scheduled to be installed in the first half of 2022 and the wind farm will be built off Helgoland in the same grid connection cluster as innogy’s 295-MW Nordsee Ost wind farm.
