Maersk Developer and Valiant Electrical SPS

The Maersk Developer and Maersk Valiant underwent a 10-yearly and 5-yearly electrical SPS (Special Periodic Survey) respectively while docked at the Aruba shipyard. The scope of work included inspection, maintenance, repair of electrical systems and ongoing service jobs following the SPSs.
Competences and systems
- Inspection and maintenance of switchboards
- Inspection and maintenance of circuit breakers, including tests of LV and MV breakers
- Inspection and maintenance of main generators
- Inspection, cleaning and re-torqueing of transformers
- Inspection and maintenance of thrusters
Highlights
- Both SPS projects were completed on time
- All scopes regarding the SPSs were performed without any assistance from third parties
- After the surveys, Semco Maritime will perform various modification scopes as part of
a 5-year service contract for the rigs
