Thomas Thomsen has close to 25 years of experience within sales, business development, strategy and management in the renewables energy industry and has lived with his family in the USA, Canada, Germany and Spain. His most recent position was Chief Strategy Officer for Onshore Wind at GE Renewable Energy, where he was previously Chief Sales Officer with responsibility for sales and commercial operations in the Onshore Wind business in Europe and southern Africa. Before that, Thomas Thomsen held senior positions overseeing commercial projects and activities throughout the value chain in, among others, NEG Micon, Vestas and AREVA Wind, where he worked extensively with the Offshore Wind area as Chief Sales Officer.

Thomas Thomsen has an educational background as MSc in Industrial Management from Aalborg University and an MBA from Mannheim University, supplemented with several management courses from universities in Denmark and USA. He resides in Sønderborg with his wife and has three children.
