Odfjell Drilling and Semco Maritime have signed a contract for preparation and modification of Deepsea Stavanger prior to her commencement of a 9-month drilling campaign for Total in the harsh waters outside South Africa. The semi-submersible rig will complete a high docking (with thrusters on) in Semco Maritime’s rig yard at Hanøytangen, Bergen, in Q1 2020.

Offshore project and engineering company Semco Maritime has extended its contract with Port of Cromarty Firth for the Queens Dock facility at the Invergordon Service Base, Scotland’s leading marine facility for rig projects.

Maersk Drilling’s ultra-harsh environment jack-up Maersk Innovator has completed a successful yard stay at Invergordon, during which main contractor Semco Maritime has extended the cantilever alongside various other maintenance and updating projects.

Lars Jønholt Halvorsen has been appointed Managing Director of Semco Maritime Norway as per 1 August. Based in Bergen, Halvorsen now heads all Semco Maritime activities in Norway, including the rig facilities at Hanøytangen, Bergen, as well as Semco Maritime’s offices in Kristiansand and Stavanger.

Semco Maritime has completed a winterization provisioning on a Noble jackup for a future deployment to a cold-weather climate. The order follows an exclusive partnership agreement with offshore winterization supplier Advanced Mat Systems (AMS).
