The feasibility study conducted a technical investigation into the grid connections for two offshore wind farms. This detailed examination included specifying all components of the electrical transmission system required for the successful integration of the wind farms into the existing energy network. The study also involved extensive planning for the development of 400 kV transmission lines, which are essential for connecting the generated power efficiently to Fingrid’s national grid.
The objective of this comprehensive study was to ensure that every aspect of the transmission infrastructure was carefully designed and planned. This would not only support the efficient distribution of power but also enhance the reliability and sustainability of the grid connections. The study aimed to provide a clear roadmap for the implementation of robust and effective electrical infrastructure to meet the growing demands of renewable energy sources.
