In 2022, Semco Maritime embarked on a significant project with Noble Drilling, focusing on enhancing energy efficiency aboard the Noble Stanley Lafosse in the Gulf of Mexico. As part of Noble's commitment to sustainability, Semco was tasked with the installation and commissioning of advanced fuel monitoring systems, specifically the FUELTRAX Coriolis flowmeters, across all six main engines. This comprehensive project, from survey to commissioning, was executed efficiently, adhering to a detailed time schedule and maintaining budgetary constraints. The successful collaboration underscores Semco Maritime's expertise in delivering complex maritime solutions.
Solution
As a part of Noble’s energy efficiency program additional fuel monitoring systems were to be installed on their vessels which SEMCO was contracted to carry out from Survey to Commissioning. A detailed 3D survey was conducted and hereafter a SOW (and design) was prepared prior to installation.
