In October 2023, Semco Maritime began a fast-track project for Noble Drilling to replace the helideck on the Noble Resilient rig in Skagen, Denmark, after it was lost in an incident. The project, running until April 2024, involved the fabrication and installation of a new certified landing deck, along with firefighting, lighting, PA/GA, fire detection, and telecommunications systems. Semco Maritime's comprehensive approach included engineering, procurement, construction, and installation, ensuring compliance with HCA, ABS, and Transport Authority standards.
Solution
Following an incident in which the rig lost its entire helicopter landing deck and supporting structures, Semco Maritime was tasked with the fast-track fabrication and installation of complete replacement structures and systems. This included a new, certified landing deck, firefighting systems, lighting systems, PA/GA systems, fire detection system and telecommunications system.
