In a project for Cadeler AS, Semco Maritime undertook a crane boom extension on the Wind Orca in Esbjerg, Denmark, from November 2021 to March 2022. The project involved installing a new 7-metre boom insert, followed by load testing and certification. Key tasks included demobilizing the crane to the quayside, constructing a habitat for cutting and welding, and conducting NDT and painting. The crane was then reinstalled, rewired, and successfully load tested, achieving recertification and third-party approval.
