Acquisition to Establish Leading European Offshore Wind Firm

International engineering and contracting group Semco Maritime A/S (‘Semco Maritime’) has entered an agreement to acquire German Full-Service Provider Wind Multiplikator GmbH (‘Wind Multiplikator’), specialised in management of offshore wind farms and projects as well as provisioning of engineering and consulting services.

25 May 2023 marks a significant date for the Vineyard Wind 1 project, as the offshore substation and jacket foundation left the quay at Bladt Industries’ production site in Southern Denmark heading for its destination 35 miles from mainland Massachusetts.

Contract to modify two cadeler windfarm installers

Cadeler has awarded Semco Maritime a contract for vessel modifications as part of the upgrade of main crane capacity on Cadeler’s two O-class windfarm installation vessels (WFIV), Wind Orca and Wind Osprey. Semco Maritime has previously fitted new and extended crane booms on these two WFIV.

5-Year service contract for offshore grid and substations

TenneT has awarded a consortium consisting of Semco Maritime and SeaRenergy a 5-year service contract for mechanical & electro-technical integrated maintenance of offshore grid connection systems, which comprise offshore and onshore installations in the German and Dutch sectors. The contract covers 2023-2028 and initiates the strategic partnership in the consortium.

Official inauguration of new office in Poland

Over the course of the last year, Semco Maritime has established a new office in Gdynia with 32 specialised employees forming an integral part of the group’s international project teams and supporting the growth within renewable energy projects, both internationally and in Poland. Contract for two Baltic Power offshore substations

A consortium of strategic partners Bladt Industries and Semco Maritime has been appointed selected supplier of two offshore substations for the Baltic Power project, a joint venture of ORLEN Group and Northland Power Inc. aiming to supply more than 1.5 million households with clean power by 2026.
