Expert offshore energy services solutions and personnel provider CPower Energy Ltd. and international engineering and contracting company Semco Maritime A/S announce their strategic partnership, with Semco Maritime acquiring 20% of CPower Energy.

Thomas Thomsen (49) has joined Semco Maritime as Senior Vice President for the Group’s Renewables business. As a member of the Group Senior Management Team, he will report to CEO Steen Brødbæk.

Semco Maritime to leverage more than two decades of offshore wind project experience in a new business line which focuses on the provision of multiple services for HVDC projects.

A consortium of strategic partners Bladt Industries and Semco Maritime has been awarded a turnkey contract on the world’s largest offshore wind project so far – Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind– for U.S. utility company Dominion Energy Virginia.

Hai Long Offshore Wind Project has awarded a consortium consisting of Semco Maritime and PTSC M&C a Preferred Supplier Agreement for two offshore substations for the Hai Long 2 and Hai Long 3 projects, which will be established off the Taiwanese coast and deliver more than 1 GW of green wind energy when the projects are commissioned in 2025-2026.

Semco Maritime will establish a new office in Gdynia with 15-20 specialised employees before end of 2021. The Polish organisation will be an integrated part of the Group’s international project teams and support the growth within renewable energy projects internationally and in Poland..
